Kids'Place Day School
"Long Island's Learning Center For Children"
Our Kindergarten Program is a full-day session which presents a multi-sensory approach to teaching. We utilize a visual/auditory/kinesthetic/tactile (VAKT) method to teaching activities.
Phonetics is the basis for our Reading Program, focusing on teaching the alphabet through letter recognition and identification, letter configuration, sound/symbol relationship of letters and teaching the function that letters serve as they are blended into sounds which form words.
We provide a solid mathematics program as well as stimulating science, health and social studies programs which all utilize age-appropriate materials and activties to prepare children for "today's needs" in society.
Social skills at the Kindergarten level are fostered through positive peer relationships and role modeling, encouraging children to develop respect for themselves, others and the world around them.
Creativity is promoted in the children to express thoughts and feelings in original/flexible ways which build self-confidence and encourage a positive sense of self-worth.
