 Teaching Social Skills ...

As Part Of Our Every Day Curriculum

It is our belief that teaching young children to master positive or prosocial skills should be an integral part of the learning process on a regular basis.

The social skills curriculum that we embrace at Kids' Place Day School is intended to afford each child the opportunity to enhance their personal development while providing valuable and specific behavioral alternatives to responding to their school, home and neighborhood environment.

Our ultimate goal is to foster and nourish children's social competence in a complex society as we heighten their ability to problem solve, get along with their peers, and interact cooperatively with other children across a changing variety of tasks and settings consistently.

We value children's individuality and we believe that all children need to "feel good about themselves." Our ability to instill a postive sense of well-being for all children at our School is our desire, as we guide and support the process of growth towards a future which includes a sense of personal happiness, interpersonal ease, and academic effectiveness.
